Purple the color of royalty. And this is a website that is certainly worthy of royalty. The color is definitely an attention grabber and there is plenty of interesting links here to keep that attention from wandering.

The graphics on the site header and footer are from her book covers and are truly striking. If you love Ms. Jacobs book covers, then take a peek at the Freebies link under the Readers section. Here you will find wallpapers of some of her covers. There are several different sizes and clear and concise instructions on how to download and install these files (including some for Mac users!). Also in the Readers section is a link to the forum and current contest.

The details of all published books can be found under the Romantica heading in the menu. All books are broken down by genre and then series. If you click on the book cover, a new page opens with a synopsis of the book and links to both buy the book and read the reviews of the book. A minor problem on the reviews section is that there is no link to go back to the top of the page.

Under the Author section, is an engrossing section called Tips for writers. The name says it all, but I certainly enjoyed reading the articles found here. Favorites contains links to various author and shopping sites. A welcome addition to this section is a list of review sites as well.

The news section is up-to-date which reassures readers and browsers alike that the author cares about them. It is obvious from the minute you open the site, a great deal of thought and time has gone into creating it. It is so simply and elegantly laid out, that it was my pleasure to review Ann Jacobs web site.

Breeds, B.O.B.s, gorgeous alphas and beautiful strong heroines are the norm on Lora Leighs website. With such a range of books to her credit, Ms. Leigh has created a website that complements her and her body of work perfectly. The lavender/purple color scheme is brilliant and her slogan fits to a tee: Where Paranormal, Suspense and Erotic Heat…Come Alive!

A few of her latest books are the first thing that you see on her home page. Each book has a short blurb that you can click on to redirect you to a synopsis, excerpt, the latest reviews, and where to buy it. On the left hand side of the homepage, there are several links ranging from Loras books to Dragon Con Pictures. Because the website is being redesigned, some of the links lead to pages where information will be coming soon. This didnt deter me because she even has a free novel, Yesterday, which readers can enjoy.

A few of the more interesting links on her website are the Loras Book section, the chat forum, and the Dreams by Night site, Loras very own toy store. I really liked the Book section because it has the numbered order for each of the series. It is an especially handy tool when reading a multi-book series, like the Breed series.

The second interesting link is her chat forum. Before you even enter the forum, Ms. Leigh and her moderator, Lady Gloria, let you know this forum is unique. Titles may be assigned which can give the Lady a chance to be a heroine in one of Ms. Leighs books with her very own Alpha. That alone would make me want to participate!!! Everyone is very outspoken and the topics are wide ranging. Chances are if you have a question about one of Ms. Leighs books, someone will have the answer. These ladies are experts in all things Lora… The other unique link is the one to the Dreams by Night website. It is a separate website which features some of the products that Lora recommends. It even has links to some of the favorite things from the August and Bound Hearts series.

Ive visited a lot of authors websites but I have to say that this is one of the best Ive seen. There is so much information about her books, which I love, and her forum hosts people who really enjoy reading her books. The designers created a relatively easy to navigate site with all of its links working properly. I am not that tech savvy so I say if I can get around easily, so can everyone else. I would recommend www.loraleigh.com to anyone who wants the latest news, book information or just has a question!
